/Does His Own Thing/Goes Somewhere Else For A Change/Sticks It To The Man
This might seem like it only describes AUs or plots where Harry does something entirely different to canon and thus I'm sure to find it more interesting... It's also good writing. And my list. So.... here are my favourites.

Two years after defeating Voldemort, Harry falls into an alternate dimension with his godfather. Together, they embark on a new life filled with drunken debauchery, thievery, and generally antagonizing all their old family, friends, and enemies.

Harry has learned the prophesy and he does not believe that a schoolboy can defeat Voldemort, so he decides that if he is going to die then he is first going to live.
