When my interests lie particularly with FFVII, FFVIII and FFX it's no wonder that I've come across and become attached to many stories that could only be summed up as "epic". Add in magic and mind-control and mad scientists and otherworldly beings. Stir through the conspiracies and deceit and secrets of the past. And a generous can of whoop-ass. Then serve over a plate of the ever favourite aspirations for world domination. And voilà! An immersive tale on a colossal scale. Think Avatar, but with slightly less sexual cavorting with the local fauna.

These don't even have to be all that long as you might expect - they're simply epic in their storytelling and overall potential.
